Sting comes out onto the stage and announces the commencement of an 8-man tournament for the #1 Contendership for the TV Title tonight, also X-Division Champion Austin Aries will face Kid Kash, Douglas Williams and Mark Haskins will face the TNA Tag Team Champions Samoa Joe and Magnus and in the main event James Storm versus Kurt Angle versus Jeff Hardy, the winner faces Bobby Roode at Against All Odds for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Backstage Segment. Sting runs into Kurt Angle, Kurt asks why he has to beat Hardy and Storm for a shot at the World Title. Sting replies it’s called fair competition, with Immortal finally gone for good that’s what’s going to happen on iMPACT from now on. Sting says that the formula for title shots is simple: wins matches, get title shots.

Match #2 Austin Aries vs Kid Kash

Aries makes Kash submit to the Horns of Aries

Winner: X-Division Champion Austin Aries.

After the match Aries grabs a microphone and says he the greatest man who ever lived and the greatest X-Division champion who ever lived, he then says to Alex Shelley who is in the back he hopes that he brings his A-Game at Against All Odds because he’ll need to if he wants to stand a chance against A Double.

Segment- Somewhere backstage Garrett is talking with Hulk Hogan,
Garrett thanks Hulk for his help with starting his wrestling career, Hulk says he’d like to help him more but he has other things he needs to attend to.

-Velvet thanks the fans for their support, etc.

 -Gail Kim comes out flanked by Madison Rayne

-Gail calls the win a fluke at Genesis and demands she gets a rematch tonight

-Velvet says she can have a rematch next week

-Gail agrees and she and Rayne attack Velvet, Mickie James makes the save.

Backstage Interview with Matt Morgan, interviewer asks if Morgan will continue to team with Crimson. Morgan acts a little annoyed, “are you serious? Of course I’m not going to team with him anymore. He speared me in our match against Joe and Magnus, cost us the titles. Crimson was considering himself the whole team, a one man show, just because he’s undefeated. So I’m going to end that pathetic excuse of an undefeated streak and put him in his place.”

Match #3 Samoa Joe and Magnus vs. Douglas Williams and Mark Haskins

Joe makes Haskins submit to the Coquina Clutch.

After the match Haskins hits a superkick on Magnus and runs up the ramp with Williams.

The Pope D’Angelo Dinero with Terrence and Tyrell in a locker room, Pope announces that he will be in the TV Title tournament, so he needs his boys to help him in succeeding.

Bully Ray pins Van Dam after a Bully Bomb.

Backstage AJ Styles confronts Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, demanding another match with Kazarian. Daniels says that if he wants to face Kazarian he has to face him as well. Styles agrees and storms off.

Hardy pins Angle after a Twist of Fate and a Swanton on Angle, during the match Roode comes out and hits Storm with the title belt.

Match #1

Alex Shelley defeats Zema Ion and Anthony Nese at 09:42 minutes after a Sliced Bread No.2 on Nese.

The match is a pretty standard X-Division match, a lot of high-risk moves and aerial offense. The Match ends with Alex  hitting a Sliced Bread on Nese.

-New #1 contender for the X-Division Championship

Backstage segment “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero with Terrence and Tyrell explaining to them that after tonight he going to begin their real training to become pimp like the him.

Backstage Interview with the Tag Champions Samoa Joe and Magnus, Samoa Joe says that even though they haven’t been teaming for long, they get along better than Morgan and Crimson have been after losing the titles. Magnus agrees and says that’s why they’re going win and remain champions tonight.

“The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero defeats Devon in a Loser Leaves TNA match at 07:12 minutes

Devon controls the start of the match with a flurry of strikes, The Pope gains controls and wears down Devon with some strikes and a suplex. The finish comes when The Pope avoids the spine buster and hits two D’Angelo Dinero Experiences.

Matt Morgan and Crimson Interview, Morgan is about to talk but crimson steals the microphone away, Crimson says that he is going to win this match and regain his tag team titles, Morgan grabs the Microphone and reminds crimson that it’s a tag team titles, that means two people. He says that they’re going to work together tonight.

Samoa Joe and Magnus defeats Matt Morgan and Crimson. 11:21 minutes

Throughout the match, Morgan and Crimson argue, Magnus and Joe hits various double team moves like an inverted atomic drop by Joe followed by a running big boot by Magnus. The finishes comes with Crimson hot tagging Morgan who dominates and goes for the Carbon footprint, Crimson comes in and spears Morgan, allowing Magnus to get the pin.

After the match Crimson hits Morgan with Red Sky.

Jeff Hardy is preparing for his match; James Storm comes in and explains that he has some serious issues with Bobby Roode; he stole the world title from me, ended our tag team: Beer Money and hit me over the head with a beer bottle. Jeff says he understands that and he won’t get in the way of Storm’s vengeance, however I want the World Title to prove to the fans that I am better than what happened at Victory Road last year. Sting comes in and says good luck to both men especially Jeff Hardy.  

Austin Aries interview. Austin says that since he came to the X-Division, he proved how lacklustre of a division it has become. He’s defeated the entire division, one after the other, and now he must defeat Eric Young, The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived versus a Mentally Challenged Idiot. This won’t be a match it will be a squash.

Austin Aries Defeats Eric Young. 12:57 minutes

 Aries begins by mocking Eric who responds with a dropkick for two. Austin controls most of the match. Aries pins EY after the second brainbuster. After the match Eric is holding his head and looking confused at what he is wearing and his beard.

Backstage Gail Kim Interview, she talks about how she is an TNA icon and

Video Package of Gail Kim returning and winning the Knockouts title, then Velvet trying to get a title shot.

Velvet Sky defeats Gail Kim.

Velvet and Gail go back and forth with neither having advantage for long.

Backstage segment with Eric Bischoff discussing with Ric Flair the possibility of Immortal losing tonight and having to disband. Flair tells him not to worry about that, there’s no chance that Garrett, Abyss and Anderson are going to win.

Kazarian with Christopher Daniels defeats AJ Styles. 16:18 minutes

The Match starts Styles and Kazarian countering each other almost instantly. Throughout the match Styles asks Kaz what does Chris know, also Kaz is still reluctant to hit AJ. The end comes when AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Kaz counters throwing Styles out of the ring. Out of the ring AJ asks Daniels what he knows about Kazarian, when he gets back in the ring Kazarian hits Fade to Black for the win.

Interview with Team Hogan, Hulk does most of the talking, about how he started Immortal and now Garrett, Abyss and Mr. Anderson are going to end it.

Garrett Bischoff Mr. Anderson and Abyss with Hulk Hogan defeat Bully Ray, Gunner and Scott Steiner with Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair. 08:33 minutes

Anderson starts off with Scott Steiner, Anderson immediately tags to Abyss, who takes down Scott. The end comes with Garrett hitting a enzuiguri on Gunner followed by Abyss hitting a Black Hole Slam for the win.

After the match Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair confront Garrett and Hulk, Abyss hits a Black Hole Slam on Ric Flair and Mr. Anderson hits Eric with the Mic Check, then Hogan hits the leg drop and finally Garrett hits a leg drop.

Interview with Kurt Angle, who talks about how he was main eventing when Hardy, Roode and Storm were nobodies. And tonight he going to get back where he belongs: the top of the pedestal with the TNA World Championship.

Interview with Bobby Roode. He talks about he is now the man in TNA and Jeff Hardy is just a has-been like Kurt Angle. While James Storm is the Marty Jennety, who will slowly burn out into nothing.

Bobby Roode defeats Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle and James Storm.

The match begins with Roode going for Storm who hits him with the Last Call sending him out of the ring. Everyone gains the advantage at some point except for Roode, who spends most of the match on the floor. The end comes when Kurt Angles Slams Hardy out of the ring, James hits the Last Call on Kurt. Bobby Roode comes in and hits a low blow on storm and throws him out out the ring, Roode pins Angle for the win.

Sting comes out to apologize to Jeff Hardy for accidently costing him his title match last week. Jeff Hardy comes out and says he thanks Sting for another chance considering what happened at Victory Road last year, Sting says that is the past and TNA should be about the future. Jeff asks if Sting had ever wanted him fired because of the incident. He replies that he did for a while but knew that everyone makes mistakes. Jeff is about to say something when Bobby Roode comes out with his title, he thanks himself for being out there for the worthless fans. He goes on to question if Sting costing Jeff the title was an accident because he thinks that Sting is still angry that Jeff Hardy wrestled while he was on drugs, Jeff says he made a mistake and he paid for it but now he wants the title. James Storm comes out and says he understands Jeff situation but he deserves the title more than him because he was screwed out of it by his former best friend and tag team partner: Bobby Roode. Sting decides on the Main Event for the night: Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle vs Jeff Hardy and James Storm. Bobby Roode leaves as Jeff stares at Sting and Storm.

Match #1 Crimson vs Magnus

Crimson with Matt Morgan defeats Magnus by DQ following interference from Samoa Joe

After the match Morgan comes in and attacks Joe, Magnus saves Joe and Joe and Magnus beat down Morgan and Crimson. Magnus hits the Mag Daddy Driver on Crimson and Joe hits the Muscle Buster on Morgan. Joe and Magnus taunt Crimson and Morgan with the titles.

Backstage Jeremy Borash is interviewing D’Angelo Dinero who is accompanied by Terrence and Tyrell. Dinero talks about how he showed Terrence and Tyrell the light, how Devon was holding them down. He says that at Genesis he is going to rid Terrence, Tyrell and all of TNA, of Devon for good.

Quick interview with Mr. Anderson, the camera man asks him if he’s worried about having to team with the monster in Abyss, and an inexperienced rookie in Garrett Bischoff. Anderson does his usual asshole promo.

X-Division champion Austin Aries comes and says he’s the greatest man who ever lived. He says that he shouldn’t have to defend his title against a mentally challenged person, but then again a brainbuster might do EY some good. Out comes Austin’s’ partner: TV Champ Robbie E who is accompanied by Robbie T, next out is their opponents Rob Van Dam and Eric Young.

Match #2 Austin Aries and Robbie E defeat Eric Young and Rob Van Dam. Aries pins Van Dam after a Brainbuster.

During the match Tenay talks about the X-Division title match and the #1 contenders match at Genesis.

Backstage in the Immortal Locker room, Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff are having a meeting with Bully Ray, Gunner and Scott Steiner. Eric goes over the history of Immortal and that they are the most powerful men in the business, they cannot lose their match at Genesis. Ric focuses on Gunner, saying tonight he has a match against Mr. Anderson; Ric wants Gunner to destroy Anderson to send a message to his team at Genesis.

Match #3 Velvet Sky vs Winter with Gail Kim on commentary.

During the match Gail talks about how she is the face of the Knockout division and a TNA icon.

Velvet Sky defeats Winter.

After match Gail and Velvet have a staredown as Gail holds up her title.

Back stage Christopher Daniels is being interviewed, and is asked what he is holding over Kazarian’s head to make him to his bidding. Daniels replies he’s not going to reveal that, because it’s more fun to play with AJ Styles when he doesn’t know how he’s made Frankie his puppet. The interviewer asks when this conflict between you and AJ Styles will end. Chris replies when AJ is gone from TNA forever.

Somewhere else backstage off screen interviewer asks AJ Styles what Chris Daniels problem is with him. AJ says Daniels has gotten into his head that I (Styles) resent him, that I think of him as a lesser person and I didn’t until he became obsessed with beating me and stabbing me in the back. Then Chris managed to turn Kazarian against him by holding something over his head. I’m gonna find out what that is and then I’m going to beat Daniels once and for all.

Match #4 Mr. Anderson with Garrett Bischoff, Hulk Hogan and Abyss vs. Gunner with Bully Ray, Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair and Scott Steiner.

Throughout the match, guys on the outside taunt members of the other team.

After Match Immortal retreats up the ramp while Hogan, Garrett, Abyss and Anderson pose for the crowd.

Interview Austin Aries, interviewer asks why do you think Eric Young has returned to the X-Division, Aries answers EY doesn’t have a reason, special people don’t have reasons for why they do things, but since Eric has returned to the division it does give me someone else to beat to prove that I’m the greatest man who ever lived. Like I said out in the ring, a brainbuster might do Young some good.

Main Event TNA World Champion Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle vs Jeff Hardy James Storm

Both teams are reluctant to tag to each other as both have communication issues with at one point Roode refusing to tag into the match. In the end Jeff Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Roode, Angle hits the Angle slam on Hardy, Storm hits the Last Call on Angle, Roode throws Storm out of the ring and rolls up Hardy and using the ropes for leverage.

Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle defeats Jeff Hardy and James Storm.

iMPACT WRESTLING ends with Roode holding up his title on the ramp, Hardy and Storm arguing and Angle looking at Roode.
